Curraha made the trip to Moynalvey for the 4th game of their league campaign.
Curraha were almost off to a flyer, as a quick interchange of passes saw Sean Keogh bear down on goal after only 90 seconds but his well struck effort was brilliantly saved by the opposition keeper. The first score of the game eventually arrived in the 7th minute after great work by Conor Joyce and Andrew Coyle gave Conor Moriarty the chance to fire over the bar. Moynalvey registered their first score of the game after 10 minutes. Scores were hard to come by, and it was turning into a scrappy affair, with a number of heavy tackles being let go by the referee. Moynalvey edged ahead with another 2 scores, before Andrew Coyle registered Curraha's 2nd point in the 22nd minute after a brilliant interception by Neil Shortall on the opposition 45.
Moynalvey pointed again soon after, with Moriarty responding with a free following a fine run from deep by Niall Murphy. The hosts scored another in the 28th minute, with Moriarty again responding, this time a fine effort from play. Moriarty would add another from a free just before the break to leave Curraha trailing by a point at half time, 0-6 to 0-5.
The hosts started the second half well, registering 4 points in the opening 15 minutes to push the lead to 5 points. Curraha didn't trouble the scoreboard until the 18th minute when a pinpoint long ball from Sean Keogh was well gathered by Gavin Coyle who fired a brilliant strike past the keeper. to leave just 2 between the sides. A free for the hosts eased the pressure on them, as Curraha dominated proceedings for the final 10 minutes. However, this wasn't reflected on the scoreboard as a number of wides helped the hosts maintain their lead. A Sean Keogh point tith a minute left on the clock left 2 points in it once again, but Moynalvey held firm, and added another point in injury time to give them a 3 point victory.
