Curraha's 4th match of the league campaign saw them welcome Oldcastle to Joe Mcdermott Park in perfect sunny conditions on Tuesday evening.

Curraha got off to the better start, with an early free converted by Conor Moriarty, soon followed by an Evan McGovern point. Oldcastle registered their first score with an effort from play in the 1oth minute, before an excellent catch and mark from Moriarty saw him register his 2nd score of the game. Curraha found the back of the net almost immediately after that. Luke Farrell won possession around the middle of the field, the ball was worked wide to Ciaran O'Hanrahan who played a great pass forward to Farrell who had continued his run, and finished brilliantly to give the hosts a 5-point lead.

From the resulting kick out, Oldcastle broke at speed and it took a fine save from Liam Hogan to maintain the lead. Niall Murphy knocked over a score after a fine team move in the 21st minute, with 2 Oldcastle frees completing the scoring for the half. Curraha had dominated the first half, but left a number of chances behind them in this period. However, they still led by a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-3 at the break.

Following the restart, it was the visitors who began to dominate. In the opening 10 minutes of the half, they registered 7 points to take the lead for the first time in the match. Curraha managed to regain a foothold in the game, with Sean Keogh scoring a fine long-range effort, quickly followed by a Moriarty free to leave the minimum between the sides. Both sides missed a number of chances in the period after this, with Liam Hogan producing another excellent stop to prevent Oldcastle pulling away. With 4 minutes remaining, Gavin Coyle pointed to leave the sides level. Again, both sides squandered good opportunities to edge ahead and seal the points, but neither were able to convert their chances, leaving the sides level at the full-time whistle. Neither side had managed to do quite enough to win, with a draw perhaps the fairest outcome on the night.
