Dunboyne opened the scoring on Wednesday evening with two points before Curraha registered a score from Conor Moriarty. He added another from a free a minute later. Gavin Coyle got a point from play before the whistle was blown for the water break. Both teams put up a very good performance and everything was very much to play for after 15 minutes.
Dunboyne very quickly got a well taken goal before Curraha responded with a goal of their own from Niall McLarnon after 22 minutes. The ball was well worked through the Dunboyne defence and the efforts were rewarded with a great score. Curraha backs were working very hard, particularly Matthew Webb at full back who had a very strong defensive presence on the pitch but Dunboyne did however push on and score a further 1.4 for the first half.
Sean Keogh got a very well taken free within the first few minutes of the second half and Conor Moriarty a point to bring the Ha to 1.05 on the scoreboard.
Unfortunately Dunboyne proved the stronger outfit and pulled away as Curraha failed to score in the 4th quarter. Dunboyne finished off with a tally of 4.14, Curraha 1.05
