Curraha made the trip to Trim, with both sides knowing that a win would secure a semi-final place. The weather conditions were more in keeping with a winters evening, with a strong wind and rain throughout.
Curraha started brightly, and registered a goal in the 2nd minute though Ronan Flynn. However, despite having the advantage of the strong wind, Curraha failed to press ahead and capitalise on their good start. Trim registered the next 3 points to draw level by the 20th minute, and then struck for goal themselves to take the lead. Curraha responded well, with Jack O'Connor registering a point in his first appearance of the season, and this was immediately followed by a James McEntee score. Unfortunately both players picked up knocks, with Mcentee replaced before half-time and O'Connor unable to resume for the 2nd half. A scoring blitz from Trim in the last 5 minutes saw them pull away, as they registered a quickfire 2-2 to go into the break 9 points ahead.
With Curraha playing into the wind in the 2nd half, Trim managed the conditions very well as they were content to sit back and hit Curraha on the break. A depleted Curraha side struggled to break them down, and the hosts ran out comfortable winners.
